After their mother’s death, the children became inseparable. As teenagers, they hide their growing desire for each other from their father (Gilbert Sicotte). As adults, they wade into the murky waters of incest. Just before Gaétan is conscripted, Rachel becomes pregnant and marries their father’s business partner (Jacques Penot). What will happen when Gaétan returns from war? This treasure from 1992, co-written by Suzy Cohen and Denys Arcand, explores the most disturbing of family secrets.
