Benjamin learns that he has pancreatic cancer and that there is no cure. Accompanied by a dedicated doctor and a kind-hearted nurse, Benjamin will plan his last moments, while his mother suffers terribly from this news. Over the course of a year, four seasons, Benjamin will learn to live with the disease and to come to terms with the complex notion of dying while still alive.
