A delicious ode to the freedom to be yourself.
— Femme Actuelle (translated from French)
A funny and touching film.
— Voici (translated from French)
Cinema loves Nora Hamzawi. We suspected that after seeing her in Alice et le maire by Nicolas Pariser and Doubles vies by Olivier Assayas. We have absolute confirmation of this with Eléonore, where she is directed by her older brother Amro in a role he wrote especially for her.
— 20 minutes (translated from French)
In the skin of this awkward and touching young woman, Nora Hamzawi, at the heart of each scene and without ever hamming it up, imposes her transgressive humour and her delicate singularity.
